shouldn't be too difficult:
julio's armour is a heavy weapon, right?
so just let him do a move that creates the heavy weapon and then use a frame to pick it up. should work.

If he creates a heavy weapon as a light weapon it still is held as a heavy one. So That's pretty much the same I guess.

I might be wrong, I just guessed how YinYin made the armour being created.

sorry, but you are wrong. when he creates a heavy weapon with kind: 3 he helds it as light weapon.
tried it for a mark modification and he tried to punch with the stone. thats very funny when you let him create bottles cause he uses them as weapon

enough with the armor hacking - its not much fun controlling him anyway with only 4 actions - you should really rather fight him

and make julio wear his armor all the time.

But i want to keep the stages the same without having to add new stages can i do that

all original stages do stay the same - this new mode doesnt affect the original stage mode one bit

there is a glitchy frame which when you press a certain button, at a certain point,
and you will transform into julio with armor and with the green sword
but i will not reveal because yinyin probably wont appreciate it.
overall, a fun and creative mod. julio is really fun to fight.
i am now making bosses to fight!

by the way, yinyin, how do you make julio go to heal? i somehow keep making him go to the healing frames but i dont know how i am doing it. whats the keys imput?
