Here's a small little beta of Batman if anyone wants to try him out.
be warned.. full of flaws, bugs and glitches yeye!
(still trying to work out the pellets)
EDIT: I've gotten ice and exploding pellets working DECENTLY... expect an UPDATE if you like the current n00by version. Just ask and I can update it.
(btw some of the sound effects are directly ripped from the show so it sounds pretty decent yeye) (and will also get rid of the useless smoke dat file and put the data from it I need into another data file to save space)
Dude I think there is something wrong with DCing everytime i try to check the Batman i start loading the game and it shows me " Could not open Wave File ,data\bat3.wav " anything to fix it?

Oh whoops. Just put those audio files into the data folder that should fix it.

Due to the nice sprite progress, i've decided to download the char for myself as well.
After solving the wave-file issue (I hope you are gonna to rework the files to work accordingly, soon (just change it from data/SOUNDFILE.WAV to batman/SOUNDFILE.WAV) the game loaded fine, btw.
This will be a mass of spontanous thoughts on the character
-Standing sprite in Facepic? Nah...
-The capemovement while jumping is somewhat abrupt... it goes from downwards to sidewards to upwards in just 1 frame each. Dunno whether it's exatly possible (jump frames are uselessy over-hardcoded >.>), but adding one transition frame between each of them would make it much more smooth.
-There are a few dirty pixel on the stop_running sprite. On the top, a few black ones.
-Another dirty pixel on the start of the defending.
+Nice defense stance
-The defense counter attack doesnt seem to work, tried if multiple times from multiple angles
-The size of his fists doubles in his run_attack XD (spriting error)
+nice punching frames (expsecially the distortion)
+great, no, AWESOME, no, UEBERLY EPIC super punch sprites
+The both super punch variants are sweetly made
-the AD superpunch is completely overpowered, compared to mp consumption. A total AAA+AD deals 250 damage without any real mp usage
+Glide is a nice idea
-The Glide+J has imo a FAR to high dvx. It's supposed to smash enemy into ground, not carry you even further then the normal glide. Just make him go downwards and add some henry_wind effects and a knock-up (possible a start for a combo?)
+The batarang is surely great made. Though it may breaks too fast. As well, why doesn't it use effect:1?

-The explosion of the explosion batarang should imho be on ground level... atm its ~50 pix above ground
+Neat idea with the pellets thingy, seems like you already nerfec the explosion (with Firen one's it would be overkill)
-The smoke cloud on the ice pellets just doesn't fit, imo...
+ for the big smoke cloud on the invisibility thingy. I created a similar amplification of rudolphs smoke for Nohan, as well.. though, yours has MUCH less dirty pixels XD. Hope you are going to finish those sprites, soon
-D^J Hardcore XD 3xBat would be enough, may... or 4x... 5x seems too much.
+on the louis throwing (sprites)
Result: Not accounting any lacking sprites!

Needs some tweaks here or there, but besides that, a truly amazing characters.
As soon as you release it, i will vote to add it to LFE Fileplanet.
It's truly one of these "take ages to finish, but have awesome sprites and DCing quality" characters.

Yeah I was using that for my forum avatar and then I forgot to save the face by itself. I'll fix that later.

Alright. I'll add a couple extra frames. even though it's hardcoded it still works as I already did those 2 extra jump frames and with YinYin's help I was able to add the dash the landing of the jump unlike the previous beta version.

Will fix those... some of the reasons are cause they were there on template lol

Thanks and yeah the defense counter is really hard to execute. I don't know why though. I thought when you get hit during the defend frame it goes to another frame and I added a heavy wait value to it so there would be time to execute.

The gliding attack was just a test lol didnt edit it out.

Thanks, it breaks fast cause then there will be too many batarangs in a single level since its used often. effect 1 isn't used because batarangs don't cause bleeding generally
I'll fix the exploding batarang

Lol the pellets are in The Batman just utilized them too cause they're epic!
Yeah I nerfed the explosion however sometimes when they hit other things other than the ground they create multiple explosions that can do OHKO
for example ice pellet someone then exploding pellet the same guy immediately after and he'll be dead ROFL!
I believe the ice pellets contain liquid nitrogren cause in the cartoon dark gray gas explodes out before the pellet freezes thats why I added the smoke cloud.

the smoke has less dirty pixels because I used paint and just used the CTRL and + button the amplify the size which is very clean size increase however you can't pick how big you want it to get.
Yeah I need to fix the bat move I'm changing it so he blows into a "bat whistle" and bats will fly from the sky and pwn some n00bs with lower damage.
lol I got lazy on the louis sprites and just did minor edits on some the pics since most of them are similar

Thanks so much for downloading the beta and testing it out as well as the great critque!
I'll try my best to improve the sprites after too make it a lot better.
And I think I might add ROBIN from Teen Titans/The Batman since that version of robin is my fav
EDIT: btw to do the COUNTER GRAB you must press defend just before an attack hits you then press attack then you will "immediately grab the fist they used to punch you and then throw them around" YEYE
I guess thats the only way it will work.

btw if anyone knows where I can get some grapple shooting and cord sound effects that would be really helpful.. I can't find any good sound effects for them.
Or if anyone can point me to an episode of any batman cartoon with the grapple hook/gun being used without music that would be great!
Uhm I think you should add like 2 more frames at the end of the jump because his cape just suddenly falls
into place but it looks very realistic keep it up (who's line did I just steal?)
