increase delay at 3rd frame a bit and I think it will look better (torso and arms up)

rectangular selection + moving selected pixels does not equal breathing animation.

can't find apoc's lukas breathing animation, but this one's from sieg:

it's not the "conventional" breathing animation you see on characters, but it shows that you should animate the character based on how their fighting stance is (natural movement)

Rotating arm doesn't change this too, but that's the simplest way, that we go. It's hard to make realistic breathing... especially that breathing is visible only by chest

Don't forget that they are not Apoc , neither Sieg. No flaming, but those ones are much better than Bob and Mundvoll.

This place motivates me to become an artist, this place motivates me to learn coding, this place made me grow up, showed me the ways to interact with people. I recall a thread longer ago where it was mentioned that the sprites were actually edited in double size (158x158) and the breathing was sprited with pixel movement in double size. And after resizing it should look like the body moves half a pixel. Or something. (Also depends on which method you use for resizing.)

You could try experimenting with that.
