Well well, this looks good.
Just what exactly have you changed? Because right now it looks like Davis' falling motion has been coded frame by frame.
Is there any way to get around that?

a rocket kick sounds fancier than a knee dash eh?
davis is free falling there - no frame by frame
the only thing i have changed here is adding the visual
i just have to invest some time and tweak the bouncing more

Yea, I just guessed that the knee-dash is basically his D>J attack without the energy? Haha.
I just think that it looks very frame by frame'ish because Davis doesn't really move around the y axis very much, except for the sudden height change in frame 15 and 16 ( in the gif).
It might look better if you increase the dvy a little bit, like in these two gifs you posted earlier:

there is no dvy involved
but i think ive fixed it up
also made it easier for myself to implement more bouncing
all i have to do now is add one opoint in the attack that shall bounce

What I always thought is that the bouncing basically is a bdy in the lying frames and a corresponding itr. Soo... do you use some other technique?
Is there a chance you will post an additional gif of the updated bouncing?

about the dvy: think about these:
hit lag, can you spot any? would it look good if the character shook while touching the ground? - this would happen in frame 180
does the bouncing character perform a normal falling arc/animation?

Bah... is that really the optimal way of doing things? I tend to figure it'd be messier with that.
I had a hunch that's what you used... like you said the missing hit lag and hit effect are the dead giveaways... but then again.. I might still be dead wrong right now. :P

My stuff:

1) DO NOT PM ME
2) Go read up on anatomy and proportions online. (google is your best friend)
3) Go read up on pencil sketching-shading.
4) Practice by making FULL character sheets. (Refer to bases and references if you have to, occasionally try doing things from scratch. You have to mix both methods; bases and without.)
5) DO NOT be an arrogant, self-righteous prick when people try to give useful critiques, and ignore the ones who are flaming idiots. (Flaming them back makes you one of them.)
6) Repeat steps 2 to 5 until you're happy, or you think you're good, then start sharing your knowledge with your fellow spriters.
7) Showcase your sprites. At first, do not be discouraged when you don't get any critiques, or lousy/generic critiques. Continue practicing and showcasing your work. With more sprites, it will be clearer what your strengths and weaknesses are, and people may be better able to give you better critique.
Lastly, if you think saying all this makes me an arrogant, self-righteous prick who is too selfish to share his knowledge...
Then I say you cannot recognise wisdom when I've just slapped you in the face with it. (Also, those steps are the same steps I used to get to where I am, I don't know any way else to truly learn.)
Unless you think its worth my time, go F*** yourselves. I'm not going to bother to even reply to PMs like "can you help me make this character?" anymore.

no flipping was a good hint too - you knew it right from the beginning didn't you
