You are doing ur shading good.
U just need to think that if ur sprite is looking weird or not...
Ur sprite is kinda not having some proportions. [Try to fix it and see other Lf2 sprites if u still don't get it]
And for hair they look very good but smaller to proportion to that head.
And ur sprite is lacking a neck so add that too.

btw, srry for dirty pixels i just lost the sprite and coopied it from here and i tried to clean and that is what left.....
