And now the much anticipated...

Chapter Five

Fire and brimstone ran ramped throughout the destroyed walls of Dron. A thick covering of smoke layered over the skies preventing little light from coming through.
Drahcir stood below in front of the destroyed inner wall while the dark menace, Evil Sonidow, hovered above on the equally destroyed outer wall. Mailliw did not have the same impulsive spirit as he had with Dazzapizza. He was uneasy looking at the sight of the shadowy figure that hovered over them. Drahcir shared his young apprentice’s emotion. However, he was calmer. Sonidow’s sword gleamed in the fire that surrounded him. Those crimson eyes glared down on Drahcir as if initiating a declaration of war.
Drahcir humbly accepted as he dashed towards the outer wall and scaled it in one leap and began combat with Sonidow! Drahcir’s beam sword clashed well with Sonidow’s long black katana. Mailliw followed up as well, scaling the wall and joining the fray. Drahcir through a barrage of swipes and slashes to Sonidow, who used little effort to block and avoid them. Mailliw leapt into combat coming over Drahcir’s head. Sonidow saw this coming and quickly spun and struck Mailliw in the jaw with powerful spin kick. The young lieutenant was thrust aside for the moment and Drahcir attempted to counter with a blow of his own. However, Sonidow blocked it with his sword reversely held in his right hand. His left hand began glowing with the same purple light from the lightning strikes. Drahcir immediately moved out of the way as a large bolt of electricity flared out of Sonidow’s hand. The bolt destroyed a lower level entrance structure on the wall to the inside of Dron.
“You’re a lot more powerful than I had imagined,” Drahcir regaining himself as he crouched on the ground, defensively. “I knew the day would come where we would cross blades.”
Sonidow’s expression remained soulless and void. He quickly glanced at Mailliw returning into the fray charging him head on while Drahcir followed closely behind him. Mailliw came at Sonidow with his beamed blade from the left and Drahcir came around thrusting his sword aiming for his chest.
“Pointless,” Sonidow uttered as he quickly sprang into action.
He ducked, avoiding Mailliw’s swipe, and blasted him with an electrical bolt sending him crashing into a lower level entrance structure on their side. Seeing his apprentice foiled so easily, Drahcir’s anger rose which made his attack stronger. But instead of coming at Sonidow with a thrusting attack he quickly maneuvered into a backwards slash, throwing Sonidow off guard. Back spinning, he turned and flashed with his sword throwing a lot of power behind it. However, Sonidow blocked his attack again but not as easily as he had hoped. The clash of the two steels caused a large electrical output that began sending charges all over the area. Drahcir glared into Sonidow’s crimson eyes and he began seeing something in them that was unexpected.
“What the Hell?” He said out loud.
Holding his ground in the struggle, Drahcir began looking deeper into the crimson of his eyes. He saw a red figure looming in the crimson of his eyes and noticed who it was.
“The Stickman?”
Hearing the word “Stickman”, Sonidow’s void expression changed into raw anger and dropped his guard and let Drahcir stumble over and in that instant he ran through Drahcir’s abdomen with his sword. Drahcir was motionless and paralyzed with pain. Mailliw got up seeing his master falling to the ground and Sonidow rising up standing over him.
“NO!” Mailliw screamed out so loud that even the Gods could hear him.
Drahcir’s eyes dilated and he remained motionless. Sonidow looked down upon his static body and said. “Those who speak that word in my presence, die.”
With that said, he now focused his attention on Mailliw who was quivering in rage. Mailliw’s impulsive behavior led him to once again charging into combat head-on.
“I’LL KILL YOU!” Mailliw shouted.
Mailliw’s anger gave way to slapdash attacks. Sonidow began taking precautions in his defense because even though Mailliw was making sloppy attacks they were very violent and could easily turn around into a fatal error.

Back at the Empire, Lord Razen and the Dark Angel of Justice through themselves into a hand-locked power struggle. Their raw energies were being shot throughout the Castle crashing into any and everything. They were both glowing with their own auras and struggling for control as they continued to lock in. The incredible storm was a perfect backdrop for this battle.
“You don’t have the power!” Noir declared. “I will destroy you myself and bring TRUE power through my Justice!”
“You do not know the meaning of the word JUSTICE!” Lord Razen held his ground.
With that said he got closer to Noir and forced him to look into his eyes. Noir looked and he saw was the Empire’s symbol of the silver dragon and he was startled.
“Yes!” Razen said as he confirmed that Noir understood, “That is true power!”
Lord Razen then sent him flying into the air with a large blast of wind energy and followed him into the sky. Noir was completely caught of guard. Razen has shed his Imperial robe and the clothing underneath was of battle-ready standards. He began charging his fists with energy and began pummeling away at Noir who finally began defending himself.
Everyone fighting below could see the battle taking place in the sky. Lightning strikes from the storm began surrounding them as they began their fall down to earth still struggling in their fray. Razen was not one to be taken down easily and it showed as he grabbed Noir’s arms and restrained him as they continued plummeting down to the grounds below.
“Let me go!” Noir shouted trying to wriggle free.
“This is for your own good, Noir!” Lord Razen said.
And the impact came and it was huge. A large dome-like shockwave of rain and winds dispersed throughout the castle knocking everyone off their feet. The Empire’s soldiers started to regain their footing over the wave of Dark Rebellion soldiers. Cirno led a charge against the enemies coming in from the east wall. Don led a section of soldiers against the forces coming in from the southern wall, where Bred and BP were located.
BP noticed a change and said to BreD, “Well, it looks like we have lost this battle. We will have to meet again sometime.”
“Wait what?!” BreD exclaimed. “You’re not leaving!”
BreD charged at BP but he disappeared before he could attempt to attack him. “Dammit!”
Lord Razen stood over the large crater him and Noir’s impact on the ground created. Noir had escaped before they hit the ground. Paddy and Lauli came running towards him, followed by other Empire soldiers.
“Are you alright your Majesty?” Lauli asked.
“I’m fine,” Razen said panting slightly. “But Noir escaped.”
“It looks like the wave of Dark Rebellion soldiers are retreating,” Paddy said. “Ha! We showed them.”
“It’s not over,” Razen added catching Paddy’s attention. “This was simply a quiz. The real test is yet to come. Keep everyone in the safe area into order is restored here. Gather the wounded, count the dead, and burn the bodies of our enemies far out side of these walls.”
“Yes sir,” Lauli and Paddy said.
MH looked into the sky and said to himself, “It looks like I got to him. I’ll be waiting for you too, when you come.”
Far away from the castle, on a cliff looking over the scene, Azriel stood.
“Very good,” he said. “It seems that he held his own for the time being and keeping himself strong, now that he is the Empire’s leader. But it won’t matter a damn bit once our plan comes to fruition. Enjoy your small victory while you can, Razen.”
Blue-Phoenix spawned behind Azriel. “Well that was a turn for the worst.”
“Not quite the contrary,” Azriel corrected.
“How?” BP asked. “Half of your army was just decimated by the Empire. How is that NOT a turn for the worst?”
Azriel turned and faced Blue, “A large sacrifice for a greater goal. It is no setback. It is all part of the plan.”
“Perhaps you should enlighten me with your plan,” BP said aggravated, “so maybe I can understand better why HALF OF THE ARMY WAS DESTROYED!”
“It is not your time to be enlightened yet, Phoenix,” Azriel said turning back to face the Empire castle. “But it will come. There are things you don’t understand and you wouldn’t unless you were originally part of the Nami Clan. This is a special tactic that only the Nami Clan uses. It has a small bearing on the legend that we hold.”
“The legend?” Blue-Phoenix repeated.
“Yes,” Azriel answered, “The legend of the three waves of deadly fighters. What you have just witness, and took part in, was the first wave.”
“So there are two more?” Blue-Phoenix asked.
“Yes,” Azriel answered, “and each one is far deadlier than the one that preceded it.”

“Robo, is that really you?”
“Yes it is,” said Robo, the ruler of the former Domain of G4F.
“Where have you been?” Zabobula asked. “I have searched high and low for you but it was like you disappeared off the face of the universe.”
“In a way,” Robo began, “I did.”
“But wh…”
Robo raised his right hand to cease him from speaking and walked toward his childish form. He put his hand on his head and kept it there for the moment.
“What are you doing?” Zabobula asked.
“Hush,” Robo silenced him again. “I will now return you to your original form. But you must be silent in order for the restoration transformation to take place.”
Zabobula nodded understandingly and kept quiet as the process began. Robo’s hand began glowing blue and small rays of light began shining down on the childish form of Zabobula.
“My, what an interesting change of plans huh Sir Frog?” Snorbet said looking down at his compadre.
The amphibian-based humanoid croaked in agreement.
“Croak indeed,” Snorbet replied.
Fice’s eyes grew wider as he noticed the childish form of Zabobula gradually returning into its original crimson form of the Red Stickman. Haywire smiled as he recognized the monochromatic form he was used to seeing.
Opening his purple eyes, Zabobula felt himself returned to his original being.
“It is complete,” Robo said taking his hand off of Zabobula.
Zab took in a large amount of air and exhaled. “I thank you, Robo, I really do. But now…”
Everyone was caught off guard as Zabobula aimed his palm at Robo. All knew the vast power that the Red Stickman was bestowed with and how dangerous it could be.
“Zab what are you doing?” Haywire asked.
The Red Stickman smirked as the hand he aimed at Robo began glowing with his raw and powerful energy.
“I thank you Robo,” Zabobula began, “but now you have answers to questions I must know. And the first one is…where…is… Evil Sonidow?”
Escape is a two-syllable word that grants temporary peace in the present to a future victim.
