Bamboori: I'd suggest continuing rifling through the bodies a bit longer and then try to retreat.
Drahcir: Huff... Huff... I don't think it makes sense to chase them further. We should try to get to our forest group instead, since more bandits are likely to wait there for them.

Simon: I can sense someone's blood. There's probably a battle going on somewhere around here. And it's most likely our friends. We should head back and help them. Also, I'm still eager to kick some thievy asses.

Now its a choice of whether to have group B meet with group A or C, or split B to reinforce both.
C should still be able handle themselves with no sign of additional enemies, so I would prioritize group A.

How valuable might be the life of an apl thief? Group A should totally just take the four guys hostage and threaten to kill them if their reinforcements come any closer. Or if they don't pay any ransom.
As for group B, can't Ian cast some sort of spell to slow them down? Thinking of "Bone Burst" or "Occult Omnibus", for that matter. Seems more viable than running after them. Once they are weakened/slowed down, we can easily catch up and kill torture interrogate them.

The majority has decided.
Simon proceeds to increase his searching speed as the other thieves approach. An arrow soars past, narrowly missing Steiner.
Bamboori: We need to go!
Simon: Just a second... got it!
Simon triumphantly pulls out Blue Phoenix's leather pouch from one of the thieves' pockets. They don't waste any more time and start running back towards the apl stand, hoping to reunite with their allies there before the new thieves catch up. One of them comes dangerously close to Nave as they reach the road, but suddenly a little distinct crack is heard and that thief lets out a short cry as he falls to the ground. At the apl stand they are expected by Blue Phoenix, Drahcir and Ian, who has cast Bone Burst [-1 MP].
A group of about 8 thieves (now regrouped, not scattered) carrying various kinds of weapons approaches the apl stand cautiously as they see the new enemy reinforcements.

For the most part A and B rows should be fine unless Drahcir and Bamboori want to step forward/back respectively.

I'm thinking Breeze of Chill might just freeze them in place, which could be helpful.
Also, while these might be bandits, they might also just be oppressed peasants wanting money to live. We shouldn't kill everyone we meet. If we do, we should be ready to have a bad time.
