Yo, what are you actually going for? "Designing" a character and building a story around him seems like a risky move; doing it the other way round is a tad easier.

My more precise opinion is try not to make it a Mary Sue or Gary Sue.
A more general one, is I don't understand what you are trying to convey with these characters when you are going to develop stories after fleshing out them. But it is a completely valid way, just unusual because you have to shape (back)story after designing them, not the other way around. |
