Try activating Multi Server only for yourself (choose 1 as number of players), to make sure the problem is beacuse of your LF2 and not from other reasons.
If the problem still occurs, try using this version of LF2:
http://lf2.co.il/Downloads/LF2_v2.0a_multi.rar
It is the newest version, with Multi Plugin already installed.

Hello @As098. What do you mean by "uploading the dll dll file"? You are supposed to place the ddraw.dll file inside the Little Fighter 2 folder, where the lf2.exe file (not the shortcut) is located. The controls should be on the first slot as you did. If you can't get it to work, I suggest you join our IRC channel or Discord server so we can discuss this in more detail.

Hello there, I'm having problems with Multiserver... Even though I override ddraw.dll and put it inside the LF2 folder the game can't respond to any input I make to it when I connect to Multiserver.

I use wine 3.11 with SysWow64 on ubuntu 16.04.
