8/10: Looks good and nice like how you made the cloths and stuff but simple.
Hey Kay how about instead of kicking when he grabs he will hit his head on his opponent.
Also how about using the Davis combo or something similar
I am back, not really.

i had to make it simple cause then it would be easier, and faster to make him…
I have heard that his hoodie is real small, that’s ok, imagine if it was the size of his head, way too big…
Also yeah about the davis combo’s, not so sure about head butting…wouldn’t that hurt?
I guess I could make another stance for Grab+A cause here is the other finished part…

First off... I have one very important thing to say, and that is "its about damn time"
Next off...
The sheet is looking good. I see you've managed to maintain fidelity even among the more boring frames. I always slack off on those.
BUT...
You really gotta try making your own poses. You'll have to do it sooner or later... and trust me, you won't want to spend so much effort making a whole character, and then later regretting that all you did for his skills were rehashes and mixes of the usual stuff... when there was the opportunity for SO MUCH MORE...
You could put in all sorts of weird ideas you've always had for moves, or really cool ones. Why limit yourself to stuff that's done before? Because its difficult? To me, its difficult to trudge through the tedium of drawing the tons of "boring" frames like falling and stuff... and there are more of those than the "fun" skill frames. Taking a little pain for the skill frames is really worth it.
Anyway, really looking forward to seeing this character in action.
"I may devour the five continents, and swallow the three seas, but a body with neither wings, nor hands, nor feet, is powerless against the sky."
My stuff:
| sprites | frozen |
1) DO NOT PM ME
2) Go read up on anatomy and proportions online. (google is your best friend)
3) Go read up on pencil sketching-shading.
4) Practice by making FULL character sheets. (Refer to bases and references if you have to, occasionally try doing things from scratch. You have to mix both methods; bases and without.)
5) DO NOT be an arrogant, self-righteous prick when people try to give useful critiques, and ignore the ones who are flaming idiots. (Flaming them back makes you one of them.)
6) Repeat steps 2 to 5 until you're happy, or you think you're good, then start sharing your knowledge with your fellow spriters.
7) Showcase your sprites. At first, do not be discouraged when you don't get any critiques, or lousy/generic critiques. Continue practicing and showcasing your work. With more sprites, it will be clearer what your strengths and weaknesses are, and people may be better able to give you better critique.
Lastly, if you think saying all this makes me an arrogant, self-righteous prick who is too selfish to share his knowledge...
Then I say you cannot recognise wisdom when I've just slapped you in the face with it. (Also, those steps are the same steps I used to get to where I am, I don't know any way else to truly learn.)
Unless you think its worth my time, go F*** yourselves. I'm not going to bother to even reply to PMs like "can you help me make this character?" anymore.

Except that I'm also weak in that area.
Plus these days I'm in the army, don't really have time on the com, usually only on my weekends out, which usually has me recovering from various illnesses or recovering from injuries, like now.
I can barely type a proper sentence without my skull threatening to split right open right now. haha.
I might help, when the mood strikes me AND when I'm not half dead; but don't keep your hopes up.
It might be good to start with references from other games though, just like how practicing drawing over lf2 stances will help you get better, getting references from other games and transferring them to lf2 style will help too.
The key thing is to get as varied references as possible, do not always pick the same few style of poses.
Often its the "simpler" looking poses that are tougher to do, and will be better for practice.
