BP and Alec got my vote... and as for honorable mentions... I would give them to Siegvar, Betit, and Sir Frog. Once again, wonderful results everyone. I really need to get out of my sprite slump... but I can't seem to sprite anything of decent quality that compares to the raised standard now set by many spriters in the community now.

Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get out of it after a few tries. Do a couple "test-sprites" to get back to business and then start pwning!

Alectric - really good detail here, and the arm is ingenious. what's up with his face though? I also get the feeling I'm seeing an Apocalipsis sprite (hope neither of you would be offended by this comment)
Gad - v neat Jack Frost sort of character here and extremely LF2 styled
Bamboori - Jesus! Surprisingly effective. I don't know why but it's love at first sight (okay, not quite reaching the word love, but you know what I'm talking about)
Siegvar - nothing of note other than is it a female version of this? (in a good way of course). you've had my vote for over 7 years now lol
SirFrog - far more unique and unorthodox themewise. the shrunken version of this sprite looks great
betitngoan - yeah, I've got a confession to make. Love the boobs

the ones I did not vote:
forgetlatios - the colours are all correct here, but it lacks overall detail relative to the other entries
Reaper - somehow I don't like the small head and I got the impression that your character is being set on fire instead of controlling the fire
prince_freeza - great detail, but I'm sure you could have come up with something better. at the moment, I can't help thinking it's a ice blue turtle
Whaat - love the vines, but the face is??? >:
Wiro - all looks correct, just a bit on the rough side, especially the outline
koori-youkai - if the spite was shrunk and the white-ish transparent smears are gone or replaced with something else, it would have been awesome
lf2timmE1 - very detailed, but I don't like the proportions and he's too naked to my liking (yeah, I know they are lame reasons, but it just doesn't click with me)
Jed37 - would have soo voted for you whirlwind D: looking at this clown, I have no idea what element it is...
Simoneon - guess you are getting used to your new tools
Snorsorbet - you put too much detail in there I think, but the colours are confusing and I had to actually squint before I can discern between hand and belt
Blue Phoenix - i so want an open mouth on that golem >:[
David - the colours are quite boring and the pose lacks excitement

Bah, I should have gone with the whirlwind. I assumed that the greater support of the whirlwind would lead duckie to choose that as my submission, but I didn't make it clear. My fault.

Siegvar is just plain awesome, and Gad's sprite is the most LF2-styled sprite which I like

guys, should i come up with another theme? i've got several ideas, but its a matter of popularity, rather than creativity (as i've seen)

if you guys want to continue and like having a theme, ill post next theme and continue, if not then ill stop for a while.

If you're talking about the contest results;
With a voting system, it'll always be a matter of popularity rather than creativity.

If you're talking about the contest entries, there's not much you can do about it. sometimes inspiration doesn't strike, and the contestants have no obligation to force themselves to think up something interesting.
