I'll add a bit to that. non rounded feet? uhm.. are your eyes on the same level as the sprite's feet? nope.
lf2 takes an isometric perspective... you're looking at all the characters from slightly above. looking downwards... the feet will never have that flat bottom look. That's if you want to be precise. otherwise, flat or rounded does not matter, as long as it looks okay.
Also, try taking any pictures at normal eye level of people and look at the feet. you will almost never see flat feet. the only situation when you will see flat feet are when the camera is at the same height as the surface the person is standing on, or if the feet is pointing exactly to the sides and not at an angle.
But then again, that's only if you want to be precise.
And yes, go take a look at lf2's feet. They're not precise at all... and most of them are rounded.
