not bad for your start! I like most of the shading.
things i would improve:

- the waist looks a bit thin
- he has no neck [not sure if that was too important, correct me if i'm wrong.
- you can't really tell whether he has gloves on, or he has a green hand :D
- the shoes need a bit more darker shading in my opinion.
- get rid of the plant and try to make some fresh hair
