This is actually dedicated for helping the LF Wiki to refine the pages. We will need to list the accepted terms, so I will list it here.
Please mention anything that needs a term. We have to discuss until we all agree with one term and it will then be listed here.
List of Accepted Terms (in alphabetical order)
DoP
Stands for Dance of Pain.
The state of a fighter being immobile and grab-able for a while after getting enough hits without falling down.
Flip
The act done by pressing Jump while falling.
Often called 'jumping' but it causes confusion with normal jumps. In the data file, this move is called rowing, but the same name is used for the act done by pressing defend while running. We agreed to use the term flip instead.
Armor Piercing Attacks
Refers to all kinds of attacks that ignores armor. Some examples are John's energy disk and Henry's super arrow.
This should not be confused with fire and ice attacks, which seems to pierce armors. These attacks cannot pierce Julian's armor, thus it is not categorized as armor piercing attacks.
Roll
The act done by pressing Defend while running.
In the data file, this move is called rowing, but the same name is used for the act done by pressing jump while falling (flipping). Thus, we agreed to use the term roll rather than rowing.
Strafe Kick
Dennis' DvA move
'Shrafe' is the original name from LF2 readme. However, the word shrafe is not found in the English dictionary. Meanwhile, strafe, as in Davis' Strafe Punch (DvA), means something like attacking numerous times very quickly, which definitely suits with Dennnis' DvA move.
Super Punch
The default attack when targeting an opponent who is in DoP.
*Super Punch is accepted instead of the term 'Last Punch'.
Unblockable Attacks
Refers to all kinds of attacks that cannot be defended. Some examples are Freeze's whirlwind and Henry's flute.
List of things that need to be discussed. Please share your opinion: The best term for these things, and the reason/logic for that.
A projectile group for John's disk, Julian's soul bomb, and Henry's super arrow (D>J)
All projectiles from this group are not destroyed when hit by other projectiles except palms. Naming this group of projectile is necessary since it will often be used.
What should be the name of this group?
Some considerable terms
- strong projectiles
- indestructible projectiles
Attacks that can hit falling enemies
Dash attacks, dragon punch, leap attack, fire run, and most projectiles can hit opponents even when they are falling, enabling further combo. What should we call these attacks?

You may also try to refine the definition of existing terms.
Hopefully the terms list will grow ^^ . It is really helpful for us who are writing pages about things in LF2.
I will write more later when I have time. We have so many things that need a term.
