Haah, this is pretty cool. I really like this character-style. If you plan on letting others help you with them, you might want to offer them a template, though; to match styles a little easier.

Something which could be improved (programmatically) is the z-position of the characters. It becomes really obvious when the Bandits overtake Marks and trample on their chest, head, etc. Essentially, the lower the y-coord, the further behind the z-layer. Could be some 1:1-mapping
