For the convenience of players:

Artisan - a worker in a skilled trade, especially those involving making things by hand (eg: carpenters, mechanics).
Cop - a police officer.
Coroner - a public officer whose primary function is to investigate any death thought to be of other than natural causes.
Double - a look-alike of someone else.
Godfather - the big boss of mafia (edit: or a man who sponsors a person at baptism.)
Governor - the head of a public institution
Gravedigger - a person who digs graves prior to a funeral service
Insomniac - someone who can't sleep at night
Joker - a person who makes jokes, or an annoying person, or an extra card used in card games who acts like a wild card. Ah whatever just click the link.
Mentalist - a psychic, mindreader etc.
Monk - a religious man who typically lives under vows of chastity, poverty etc.
Necromancer - someone who can raise the dead
Paramedic - someone trained to assist a doctor or emergency healthcare in the absence of a doctor. Basically those guys in the ambulance.
Private Eye - basically a detective; you usually hire a private eye to investigate someone, such as an unfaithful wife to check if she's cheating
Scientist - does science stuff. Too many types of scientists are possible.
Spy - a person who obtains secret information or intelligence (edit: usually under the employ of the government). Spies are often portrayed with the ability to be bribed or bribe others(wololo), and may be double-agents (meaning they work both sides of the deal)
Vigilante - a person like Batman, who takes justice into his own hands instead of being an actual law enforcer.
