Ok, let's play along a bit more.
Why would the Godfather (according to you, Rhino) claim to be the Cop? If there is a "Real Cop" out there, he would know Rhino is lying and wouldn't bother checking him. If Rhino is not Cop, he's a Mafia Goon. Why would Mafia risk the Godfather unnecessarily?
