Most LF2 mods are very old, using the 1.9 exe which runs on a different bit and does not have the ability to use _mirror.bmp sprites.
Fortunately most old mods don't make HEX edits to their exe file, only changing the bmp resources inside, so you can just use original LF2 version 2.0a exe to play and make your own _mirror sprites using this mirrorer.
