Stage Choice (Stage Mode)
In Stage1-6 of Kingdom LF2 you can select if you want to fight deep in his home or if you want to flee (but he’ll still find you) – later stages are also influenced by this effect…
The idea is very simple: if a criminal activate a character in a stuckframe which is repeated all the time, this character will also have this frame in the next stage…
You have two criminals, each activate a different stuckframe of this character and each stuckframe has a bdy at another high. Now you have to see: The Stage objects which should disappear in one version of the next stage have an itr/kind 8 at this high and do to a disappear-frame, that’s all. The concept should be enough here, it would be very hard to isolate the code from K-LF2 again, so understand and code, lookup yourself or forget it and learn a bit more

woah - i wouldve just used silvas stage teleport to put another sub stage at the end of the whole - but seeing you use up all sub stages that wouldn work

Well, I've some other ideas about this: You may have recogniced I have these black lines between the stages as bitmaps, so I can use them at any time - with this I'll try to create substages in a stage without new code, I'll see

Just wondering: since criminals do not proceed from stage 1 to stage 2, do you have to use weaopons instead?

I think we misunderstood each other. I am not talking about K-LF2, but on stage choice on complete stages (in my example from stage 1-- to stage 2-1). I was asking if you have to use weapons if you want to have 2 options in stage 2-1, because the criminals wouldn't proceed with you (any criminal, not just those in your version).
I hope it's easier to understand now...

no I understood you correctly...
Actually if you really want to keep stage choice you're right - you can only bring the "choice" to next stage if the character holds different weaps for each choice, but in KLF2 the "STage Choice" from Stage 1 stops in the end and there's no stage choice in the beginning of stage 2

I was thinking about making my own stage mode (I got a few ideas but I am not skilled enough yet), and this method is suitable for one of them...
