I can't actually see anything like this work tbqh, imo the main appeal of Left4Dead is the atmosphere along with the co-op. The environment in the game is really really important and I imagine it's pretty difficult/impossible to allow for enterable houses for example. Stuff like a thick layer of trees seems to work though, iirc somebody used something along those lines before. It just seems impossible to supply an as-awesome atmosphere to a 2d game where you can pretty much see all the zombies already anyways and not just barely realise there's a boomer around the corner because you see his belly peeking out over a corner.
Also the smoker is called smoker because he literally smokes up the place after he dies.
On another note, please do add a lot of decoration/threat to the stages, imo it's pretty awesome when you accidentally damage a car and end up getting loads of zombies heading at you from all sides due to the alarm. I don't really like the stage so far at all actually because it's just wave after wave of zombies and there's little variety at all \:
Do keep it up though!

Quote:They will stay on completely basic sprites, cuz the storyline will directly add after the defeat of Julian ^^ Or something like thatThat's pretty lame, some fairly basic recoloring isn't that hard or time-consuming to do, when it comes to guns you could probably also go use those weapon skins lok and ronaldex made instead of simply completely scrapping the idea of atmosphere/relation to the game
