Why the stories section fails (offtopic discussion of the story contest thread)

stories section doesn't "fail". it just doesn't "succeed" as often. at least, it's obvious that if one of the stories is exceptional, it'll definitely be read and commented on (save for people who like to be quiet). it's one of those "silent success" type of work. I know lf2-global has some story going on (at least, someone's translating from hebrew to english, i haven't checked in about 1.5 months so i'm not sure if it's still going). it's half good, but at least it's not too generic (i read the first few chapters, then stopped going to to the forum)
