Ok, here's what I'm gonna do:
I'll somewhat combine reflect balls with ultimate defense, add a short(mid)-range move, add regeneration and make a weaker version of Option #1 for normal defend.
I can change it later if it wouldn't work so well...
And another thing:
I've been thinking about mage chars, and I plan each of them to be based on normal energy + two elements for each one.
The amount of mage chars should be 3-4, so I'd need 6-8 elements.
One of the 2 elements in one char should be main, and the other one supporting.
Example:
1. Char makes a fireball and shoots it.
2. Char makes a wind move and by Naruto logic the fireball becomes bigger and does more damage (no way!
