Being totally objective on this one, not euphemizing anything, I must say the following: there are a lot of people around here that haven't reached a level of maturity required to flawlessly participate in a discussion. Actually, over 99% will not be able to do this before their 20th birthday. Maturity grows with time, means that you can't expect everyone to behave completely adequate to the respective situation.

Swearing will definitely not help at all in taking criticism. Instead, it will make the situation worse. It makes you appear rude and you seem to take the advise personally. After all, it's about your work not yourself. Alectric said how he imagines a vending machine to look like. How did you respond? "And i damnit won't take your sprite". See what I mean with swearing? It's really not really gentlemanly.

Just for further information, I myself do appreciate any form of criticism. I don't want to imagine where I would stand at if I had not listened to others that are way more advanced than I am. Probably I'd be where I was over a year ago. But that's not the point. I love getting suggestions for improvement in any kind; afterwards I can still decide if I'll implement it or not. Just saying from the beginning on that you lost interest isn't good for all of us. Not only that your project is going in vain, our comments are also. What's the point of critiquing something that will be abandoned as soon as you propose something better?

There are millions of different personalities and attitudes around the world; I have experienced a few. So, this all might be a giant misunderstanding.

If you want to continue this project, fine. If you don't, also fine. I just don't like to read whining about minor things. That's what I liked about the old forums - the maturity level was way higher. But that's a different story. Do what you want and what you think is right.
