I am already on my way to be fluent in Spanish, I can hold up a conversation decently. Personally I like this idea, but then again its only because I see the usefulness of being bilingual in the business world.
And if your willing to pay to learn a language, I would suggest Rosseta Stone, a bunch of my friends are using it to learn other languages and they are moving along pretty quickly. Yeah, I want to learn Japanese/Chinese too. Partly because of the Official Lf2 Forums.

what about increasing the language for the mainsite? cos i see there are only 2 languages on mainsite(Racist).
so if there is a Pro on translating from Eng to its own country language...
But this is up to the admins and GM Honestly, if you count, how many documents you'll need to translate, you'll quickly stop suggesting those ideas. Not to be mean in any way, but it's the truth. I'd roughly estimate that you'd need to translate around 800-1000 pages. I had that idea in my mind for a long time, too, but making a new language available takes a whole lot of time, effort, and patience. I know quite a few people that wanted to do it, but stopped because the amount was simply overwhelming. Just telling.....

oh yes bp you are damn right... to state my point of view about this..
i have helped mh to translate some parts of the mainsite for a while.. it was not much but still that much that it bothered me alot.
it was really a pain in... the you know where.
And also we would need enough people for that.. so it could be maintanced all the time.
to the main idea of the topic:
as said before by bp its not the right place for this.. if you want to be remembered... try to make a song.. or a really famous book... things like that will be remembered.. anyways.. good luck in trying to be remembered

"bissy".... neat word but I have no clue what exactly you mean :P
I'm just honest, it's a hell work to do and trust me, after the 200th page you'll regret to help translating.....

@vandesdelca
people have lives outside of LFE. That's why the lesser activity from certain people in the forums, much less the mainsite. plus, it's a hobby, not a job. many people here could quote Yinyin:

it'll be cool to learn a diff language, but usually languages are better leant f2f, rather than through posts/im-ing (irc would be better than posts i would think). Anyways, it's not a realistic realization unless you have like, voice chat. course, there's learning how to read and understand, and also learning how to speak/pronounce. they're 2 different things. first part could happen.

it would be read like busy, so I'm pretty sure that is what he meant.
Either that or he meant pissy (sorry if swearing isn't allowed if it isn't could a mod change it, because I'm not on enough during the weekdays to change)
