stage question
#11
ok, then, it's quite obvious that there is either a mistake (such as spelling) in your dat-file, whether it is the file-name or the line in data.txt itself, or it is somewhere "hidden" in the dat-file (check the reference list for known bugs: clicky). Sometimes, the comp gets a little bitchy, so you might want to check if changing the order when this line in data.txt is being read will help. If these things all don't help (or do help), tell us so ;)

bg\sys\nback2.bmp?
Are you sure that it isn't something like bg\sys\asdf\nback2.bmp (where asdf represents the bg-folder)? Just asking, it looks a little strange to me....

it should be a type: 3 object.
Further should the centery be at the edge of the non-walkable-area. Then you need to have a hit_j: 1 (I think) in the frame.

BTW: The thread starter is someone else than the one that posts his problems?

Hit_j: 1 causes the pic to move on the z-axis, to the top of the walkable area.

Lolz, then try hit_j: 80

But it could happen that you don't see the bg then. Play a little with the centerx/y values.
