Healing / Buffing
#11
Thats what I was looking for !!
Thanks to everyone =)!

EDIT: How can I configure the keysetting
of jans attack (which I have added
to john.dat)?

Just asking because I browsed through
john's whole .dat and couldn't find any-
thing else then: "hit_a: 0, hit_j: 0, hit_d: 0"
I wanted to have John use "defend + attack+jump+up"

Here you go.
Btw, these "anything" you are searching is in all
-standing
-walking
-defending

Code:
<frame> 350 standing pic: 132 state: 3 wait: 2 next: 246 dvx: 0 dvy: 0 dvz: 0 centerx: 39 centery: 79 hit_a: 0 hit_d: 0 hit_ja: 1 opoint: kind: 1 x: 44 y: 14 action: 50 dvx: 0 dvy: -10 oid: 219 facing: 0 opoint_end: wpoint: kind: 1 x: 41 y: 46 weaponact: 30 attacking: 0 cover: 1 dvx: 0 dvy: 0 dvz: 0 wpoint_end: bdy: kind: 0 x: 21 y: 18 w: 43 h: 62 bdy_end: <frame_end>

That's what I have inserted in John.dat
is that correct? I inserted the d+j+a
combination.

If you want to link to frame 350, then it should be hit_ja: 350.
The hit_ja: 350 command should also be in the "standing" and "defending" frames. All of them.

The way you have it now would actually lead to frame 1, if you press DJA in frame 350.

Code:
<frame> 350 standing pic: 132 state: 3 wait: 2 next: 246 dvx: 0 dvy: 0 dvz: 0 centerx: 39 centery: 79 hit_a: 0 hit_d: 0 hit_j: 0 opoint: kind: 1 x: 44 y: 14 action: 50 dvx: 0 dvy: -10 oid: 219 facing: 0 opoint_end: wpoint: kind: 1 x: 41 y: 46 weaponact: 30 attacking: 0 cover: 1 dvx: 0 dvy: 0 dvz: 0 wpoint_end: bdy: kind: 0 x: 21 y: 18 w: 43 h: 62 bdy_end: <frame_end>

Thats how it looks now + I linked all standing and defending frames
to frame 350 but when I press the combination he gets in some
sort of "stance" as when he would cast the spell but then suddenly
the sprite disappears and only his shadow is there... (?)

Look at this: next: 246

You should search your data if there's a a frame with number 246. If not, then the problem is obvious.
The next: indicates, to which frame he goes after the current one.

You can look there, and see what each command does:
Click here, or die, or paint your room blue.

The link even is in German, so there should be no problem understanding it ;D

(sorry for asking that much :D)

Obvious problem - character can NOT go into frame with the next you wrote there, simply because there's no such frame :p
That way it shows only shadow.

Try creating that frame, or changing next: to something else.
