What about R-lf 2, kate lf2 and lf 2.5?
They got totally popular even though they were mods.

No, they don't. I am the first one who doesn't like those overpowered, unbalanced moves and characters without any theme or context of the game. I would choose original game with few added chars over any mod any time.

LFO and HF are games based on lf2 somehow. there is a mod called lf3 or even more than one, so i dont think it is a worth to make a mod and call it lf3.

now, if anybody want to create LF3, then there is the credits problem. Now for some expected features:
3D game, more playing modes, different unlocking chars, improved online fighting (i.e. by entering on fighting rooms), HQ sprites of course, maybe any new button included to perform more things during the game, split windows while multyplaying etc

I wonder if I should keep developing LF2.IDE or start coding a new LF2-like engine..?
Be aware that there is a simplicity and power tradeoff and I'm not sure if they both can be provided at the same time...

I don't think so, in fact, I find the LF2 sprites way more cooler than those of HF. LF2 is extraordinary.

Well, its 2015 and things are getting more and more HD, I know that lf2 sprites are extraordinary but if they had more resolution thats gonna be more than extraordinary ...

Simple but yet HQ sprite is perfect

I recently talked about this topic with a friend I used to play LF2 locally about 7 years ago and we had a couple of good ideas. I don't know anything about coding so please excuse my requests for maybe being impossible.
Our ideas include a LF2 port for your mobile phone. Nothing special, just the game on the go. Our other idea, which fits in the whole LF3 topic, was to remake LF2 with new sprites, new game modes and more and launch it on Steam (Greenlight). LF3 would be perfekt for Steam: online capability and an easy supply of mods (Steam workshop). Kickstarter would also be an imaginable tool.

Ideas for the plot.
It should not be the same villain, it needs something new, different from the Julian. ALso, if anyone gona bring the mask part, then please, put something other than masks.

GROUP OF SEVEN, dealy sins (not the homunculi, not anything like animes/mangas have. Something may be from FMA but it's not the major part).
Killers and stuff who wants to conquer the world or atleast challenge Little Fighters because they heard stuff about killing JUlian.
Pride - Leader, master of 4 elements (Fire, Water, Earth, Wind)
Wrath - Skilled martial arts fighter who can go berserk.
Envy - He can change his shape of a body or atleast some body parts (Make fist bigger and stuff)
Greed - Weapon fighter who collects weapons (He first encounters Deep and takes his sword after Deep is defeated)
Sloth - Gun user who uses gun because he is to lazy to have a fist fight, he better go and shoot you.
Lust - She can take control of the people who's will power is not bigger than hers and hers is realy big if ant was 100 times bigger.
Gluttony - He can absorb HP and MP which means that he can drain energy with his fingers.


Or story where
A bad dude is looking for his escaped specimens. Little Fighters tries save them and Bad guy fights them for that.
