Dang. I am slow. Sorry about that.
To live a life of power, you must have faith that what you believe is right, even if others tell you you're wrong.
The first thing you must do to live a life of power is to find courage. You must reach beyond the boundaries of time itself. And to do that, all you need is the will to take that first step... Ask not what others can do for you, but what you can do for others.

Haha, that's looking really cool!

In case you're not using MS Paint (which doesn't support transparency altogether (unless they overhauled it in the latest Windows-release (which I doubt (and I do like to set parentheses (no really))))), try to select the background color and delete it (as for photoshop, make sure the transparency is not locked. In the layers-palette, ensure that the layer you're working on doesn't have this little locked symbol. In case you work with a different program, you might want to google for the solution). If a (usually) checkerboard-pattern shows up, that'll be transparent. Just save it as PNG (or GIF for animations) and it'll remain transparent.

I personally prefer Paint.NET over GIMP, but then again, I haven't used either for years, so I don't know how much they've changed by now.

Might wanna try paint tool sai, I use it to sprite it works great for me.
Also, I like the guy in red shirt sprite, the hair shading and face details came out really nice you should have put more effort in the rest of the body the clothes shading is way too simple now. Thumbs up buddy (; Thanks given by: Nyamaiku

Spoiler (Click to View) I have to say, you've done really well, and if you're spriting for spritings sake, look at folds and clothes tutorials online, if you're spriting to eventually create an LF2 character out of it, keep going and don't change what you're doing! It's very nice to look at your work. Eddie
