Like firstly how often do we create threads in there? If your topic appears a day later but makes sure that every stupid and spam content is filtered out, its still pretty good. Nobody will be keeping that up. Or else this wouldn't be a thing: (01-22-2015, 05:50 PM)Blue Phoenix Wrote: That's a problem with the authors refusing to report their threads asking mods to move them to releases. Well, whatever, that's not the point of this thread and I don't want to discuss it anyways. And that doesn't even touch upon (unintentional) abuse of power. I wouldn't want to be in charge of that.

Working on the template-new-thread-thing right now. Upon hitting the New Thread-button in Projects, the following portion will be put into the textfield (mainly based on Divisor's "[READ!]Posting a thread in Projects - The right way"-thread):
Code: IntroductionSo, here's my question to all of you: would you agree with the template above or would you like anything added / changed / removed?

I like this. Except that people might not understand that they're supposed to replace the text with what they want. A plan would be to change those statements into questions and hide them with with the [invisible][-/invisible] tags. Only problem is that these do not completely hide anymore.
Edit: Regarding the [invisible] tags: Possible to make an exception for the project forum's thread's first posts? ![]() A-Engine: A new beat em up game engine inspired by LF2. Coming soon A-Engine Dev Blog - Update #8: Timeout
What A-man suggested ^
And "make screenshots appealing" could be translated in something like "make a screenshots of his best looking/unique moves in battle". I think the word appealing doens't mean much to some newbies ![]() It is good now, implementing A-man's suggestion and perhaps mine would probably make it perfect.

First post of threads in the Projects as well as Releases-section have completely hidden [inv]-tags ![]() Right now it's probably quite a clustermug of questions and instructions but I feel like it's easier to read this way instead of purely question-based things. Feel free to discuss it, though. (01-25-2015, 08:54 AM)Memento Wrote: What A-man suggested ^Valid points, I put them in. The thing is now live. I have made the invisibility-parts in a way that they still get displayed on the preview-post (as you are used to, barely visible) but are entirely hidden in the actual post. So, any further suggestions?

Works great! Should hopefully do the job. Now let's see if it's going to work.
How much time is left till LABEEB's ban is up?

Great! This seems perfect!
I love how we have almost all members agreeing for the additional of some rule/format yet most people voted no. Yinyin: "Nobody will be keeping that up..." False. I have seen bigass forums with the thread approval system working perfectly. Even places where they simply trash the topics as garbage if the thread doesn't follow the pattern. People are just resistant to any change at al. Anyway. A-man: whyyyyyyy the name change!?

If there is something to do frequently and you are dedicated it's not too hard to keep up; especially since it'll also be a necessity to keep things usable and running. If activity only comes by every once in a while it's much more likely the ball will be dropped. Feel free to prove me wrong. Thanks given by: Silverthorn , Dragon5
