It's being taken into consideration, but, as you may know, MH is primarily working on the mainsite. If that project is finished, we'll go on improving the forums. Don't be too nervous, at the moment it is
Real Life > Mainsite > Forums.
So yea, just sit back, we will eventually work on it

First of all, let's make this clear, Azriel has the best ideas in the world ( of course ). About the contest idea of stars and that, Bamboori has a good idea on electing himself cause MH and BP are pretty busy. Hex editor should be named Data Master and artist should be named Artist ( best choice ). A story teller should IMO be named Author. Dumb thinking on that one but might come in handy. A master char maker ( spriter ) should be named Sprite Speciallest ( inatials are SpritesSP ). And how about a nice and quiet member? 1 reputation of mine giving from MH was because I'm a nice and quite member. If u don't believe it, ask MH or look at my rep details ). And how about a bad and rule-breaking member? A hall of shame might do. Anyways, nice idea.

you guys dont really have many rules for sigs, char limit is at 2000 or so, but if you start something like this the limit of signature-height would be 200.

erm, I think he's talking about the SIGNS for the user title, not the SIGNATURE.... Just wanted to mention that

Actually, this group is a little redundant as we already have a Banned- as well as a Spammer-group. Just that it isn't as easy to get in there. Of course, if somebody provokes it, I'll be happy to change his group

Ok, I just worked on LFE a bit and the solution popped up in my head:

BP suggested awards. If we do this we'll use this idea cause if everybody has a different stars... bloddy hell

These awards will be shown in main profile below the name or somewhere around this place. I'm not sure if I want to show them in post profile, too. Noir is right: this shouldn't be like in the army:

The following "groups" will get awards:

(social stuff)
VIP -> in case I can manage so you guys dont have stars and an extraimage you'll keep the image, if not you'll have an award in future
Helpful Member -> If we see a guy here in the forums is nice and helpful he should get this award. In case he change his mood after he got it he might lose it again
LFE-Helper -> Sometimes I need help with LFE Stuff, if one of you guys help out I want to thank this guy with this award.

Advanced DCer -> you'll not have the image and the stars anymore, it's an award
Pro Spriter
Haxor <- needs a better name (Data master? Tongue)
Author (Award: Book) <- also needs a better name =d
Fighter (Award: Fist)

technique will work with a new profile field which only admins can edit like BP already told.

For the award themselves: Like guigs suggested I would prefer symbols. A Star for VIP (but not a star like we used for ranks right now), a pencil on a paper for Spriter, a book for writers. Need ideas for the others now.

Now we decide which guy get which award? well, I think this will be the job of the admins, if we see a guy who's this or that we give him the award...

if it is easier for you.. that's just fine.
i have some ideas:
for fighters: a fist
for Data master (or whatever) : a controll, button, window, something like that.
for helpful members: no idea yet..
for lfe-helper: an earht with the text lfe-h on it.

i also would suggest to call "writer" "author"
