I'm very curious to know how you got the protocol thing solved (f.e. what commands the socket is expecting, etc... )
I made a multiplayer flash game once but it was way laggy than what I wanted because I used a TCP socket and a bad protocol (everything was client-side XD)

it's been hard to play
people join the room, we click start, we load and then comes the waiting openents screen...
after a while ! Connection lost!!! (somebody is using mods?)
sometimes it goes further, you freeze at the char selection screen...

played with some people, but it was laggy, they must be from far away...
(why I can't play with player 1 controls while still being number 3?)
