Right, here's the base of the storyline I promised to put up. It's the starting point, hope you all like it:
As an eerie light interrupted the peaceful night sky, like a flash of lightning, it was obvious that once again evil had come to plague the world. No sooner than when thunder follows the lightning, the cruel malicious laughter of a demon followed the flash. Although everything seemed normal after this, to those that pay attention the stars slowly moved together. They clustered to form the perfect image; mask, hair and eyes together... the image of Julian.
As the image came together, the heroes awoke from their twilight slumber, all in a state of frenzied panic. The nightmare that they had rapidly left was no less existent in the reality they had just awoken to. As they moved to their windows, there he was, his glaring eyes staring down upon them.
They had to repeat their quest and with haste. With every second they spared, Julian could be growing stronger and stronger. Upon each journey, the heroes began to slowly group together, one by one and two by two. They cascaded upon enemies, moving with the speed and strength of an avalanche. Slowly the number of foes decreased, as they set upon that ominous castle where they had first defeated this masked demon. The eerie purple mist thickened as they drew closer, but still they pursued, running until they reached the main chambers themselves.
As expected they met Julian there, his statue like figure casting a shadow over them all. They ran towards him, each hero with their pulse racing, the way to defeat him was teamwork. Before they even reached him, Julian had begun to grow, his body drastically increasing in size as they drew closer and closer to him. His legs and arms slowly disappeared from sight. His skin and clothes were soon replaced by thick, reflective scales. His mask had cracked long ago, revealing his mouth with its forked tongue and razor sharp fangs. Julian had taken upon himself the form of a basilisk.
With quick sweeps of his tail, Julian had bested our heroes single handed, without even accumulating a single scratch upon himself. Still they attempted to battle him and still they tried in vain. The creature that took place of that human form seemed far too powerful for any of them to defeat, even with the help of each other. The only thing left to do was run, who could save the day if they died?
To avoid being captured they had all split up. Each taking their separate path to get out of the castle, beating their way through any last obstacles and opponents, until eventually they had reached the gateways. The head of the basilisk seemed to slide around the spiral towers, those ominous red eyes staring down at our now regrouped heroes, safely out of reach.
Legend tells of a special gem that lies hidden within the deepest depths of the world. The gem is known as the beast crystal, and has yet to remain uncovered. It supposedly allows the bearer to take upon themselves the spiritual entity of an animal or creature. With this spiritual entity, those who wielded it would gain new powers and the ability to change into that specific animal. All of our heroes knew about it, it was read to them in bed time stories since they were only knee high. Now was the time to separate dreams from reality. They must begin their quest to find the fabled gem...
Remember, it's a first draft, I'll edit it once I hear the opinions that people put down and once I start getting a move on with this work. Thanks for reading
