[Mod] Little Fighter 2: The Animal Within

Right, I thought it was about time I started to get commited to one project. So far, all my other efforts have been reasonably 'shortened' or have 'backfired' along the way due to incredible boredom. So here is going to be the next project that I take part in.

Basically, this mod will take all the original characters from Little Fighter 2 and enhance them somewhat. Each character, as some people may have thought up before, is going to have a specific animal that they are related to. This animal will be tuned in to the attitude that we are given when using the Little Fighter 2 characters.

The original idea of this moderation is to make each character 'transform' into the specific animal. If that is not the case, then each character would be able to transform into a 'half animal - half human' form. This form will grant them new abilities and powers, and will be modified to suit that individual style of animal.

However, due to the big task that this will be, that idea may be taken on at a later date. In it's place, we will have the beginnings of The Animal Within. Now, for the idea that Alectric had come up with:
Each character will have a spirit animal, as said before. This animal will grant the character an ability or move that they can use when fighting. Similar to a hell move probably. The animal may give them one or more moves, dependant on how detailed we go into the character. This does not mean that the original idea will be abandoned, it will be brought in as a later version of the modification.

Currently we are coming up with idea's for what kind of animal each of the characters would be. This will probably be one of the hardest parts of coming up with the modification, and so all idea's are welcomed if you post below. Here is our current list:

My few ideas:
Woody = Tiger
Louis = May bear or something else which is slow and sturdy
Deep = Mantis (since this is the only animal with something like swords)
Freeze = Penguin? XD

Though i don't think you should give the creep chars (Bandit/Hunter etc) this upgrade, since they aren't really characters...

You can also get some really great ideas out of Bloody Roar. That if this mod isn't based on those games.

A quick help with the animals suggestion:

I'm thinking that Louis and LouisEX will be the same creature but in different forms. I don't want to follow the cliched idea of a phoenix. Maybe an animal that has the ability to perform metamorphosis. It's quite ridiculous to have them be two completely separate animals. Note that Louis is able to jump very high despite having armor. LouisEX's trident could be a sting or a tail. The animal should have armor initially, but will lose it upon metamorphosis.

Knights can be Crabs, because Crabs look really heavily armored just as knights are. Not to forget those pincers - they also resemble a sword and a shield. Not to mention crabs don't exactly move that fast. No elephants - elephants are large and all and it would look good as a spiritual representation of knights (because of the intimidating ears), but they are rather non-aggressive (except for a certain period of time whereby they undergo "musth") and they aren't armored (just thick hides). Not to mention their tusks and trunks don't really resemble swords and shields.

I agree with Blowfly on having Mark has either a Rhino or a Bull - fits Mark since he charges at you and bashes you into the air, as well as being aggressive.

What's the progress so far (sorry)? ;p
All those ideas sounds so nice. It just orders me to imgaine all that... you're playing with Woody, and suddenly become into a tiger, or whatever you may choose, with all those cool moves, and... ahh. So much cool imaginations.

But, though, these are just imaginations, that's why I asked you that horrible question in first place.


Oh and I'm thinking about this - when you transform you should be able to fight in certain amount of time, and then you would transform back. In that time you could use drinks, or pots (& whatever) to increase being an animal.
