There's a chance in taking down SK or Mafia. If we keep voting nobody, SK can just kill people off one by one as he sees fit.

We will NOT get mafia or SK the first day, that's close to impossible .___. if we kill somebody random we're just helping him killing us off one by one...

I don't consider 37,5% 'close to impossible'. So what do you propose we do after no-kill this day? What do we do next day? Quote of the Day f***ing Year (Click to View)

It's not 37,5%, the votes are random for townies, they're not random for mafia, they're going to start the votes and townies will just go along with the flow, I'm doing that every round I'm mafia myselfe, and it always works... did you ever see mafia getting lynched first day?
after the no-kill day we'll see who was shot tonight and see who reacts in which way and then we can start lynching with slightly more evidence...

Ok, before we discuss anything further at all, I'd like confirmation from Ariel about what exactly does happen when lynch is tied.

I didn't find anything in the rules, but I thought a double-lynch alternative was more unlikely than no-kill

Day 1 a tie results in no lynch. Following days, a tie lynch results in a random player (within the tied ones) being lynched.

With your suggestion, will that be any different in next day round? Second paragraph is plain bs. TheNave Wrote:The ones who gets the most benefit of opposing my idea are those that have to kill other people to win aka Mafia and SK We citizien have to kill other people to win, too. There're just two mafias this time, and six other players. If they vote for the same person, then we could get a clue from that in the future (even if people bandwagon). If they don't team up on someone, that's just one vote to two different non-mafia. Also, don't forget that mafia know who they are, but don't know who the Serial Killer is, so there's a chance that mafias could target him.

Throwing my 2c into the ring:
In a more complex game (á la the old one, or even the previous round), I'd propably agree with Nave. However, overnight, all that is going to happen is: -Mafia tracker tracks (citizens aren't likely going to benefit from that in any way) -Roleblocker blocks (ditto, unless targets SK) -Serial killer kills (unless blocked, duh) -Vigilante kills (likely randomly, unless blocked, duh) -And if I understood the note correctly, mafia does NOT kill So the big question is if there is going to be any evidence to draw conclusions from the next day. There's no cop, no doc, no trapper, no nothing. To make matters worse, both kills are from different factions, just so that no conclusions may be drawn from a kill. The only upside I see is that the SK might kill a mafia member, at which point we go into total chaos with a third killer, the remaining mafia, joining the killing. |
