Its very simple but very good spirte.
This will be good battle.I dont know who is my fav for now...
Should i do some sprite for contest or its better that i dont embarrassing my self.:D

Thanks for positive opinions. I changed some my method of spriting. Now I make them in 250% bigger size and then improving some in after resizing. That's why I didn't upload "original size" image. For me this is sprite isn't enough good. For contest I must show something without any faults, and this sprite have some. For example too simple shading on jacket and some weird shoes. Maybe I'll find some time tonight and make something better.
@Marko: Why not? Do something, it's just a fun :)

It was to be my sprite contest entry, buti couldn't finish it because of freakin toothache by 5 days (uuuuuhhh). Now i finished it but not everything looks how i wanted. Well, i hope next time i'll be able to parteke in contest.

Wow, with that kind of quality you would have wooped our arses
and get 2nd or 3rd place! This is very gooood - I like the pose btw and how you designed the wings fantastic!

the only thing that bothers me right now are those demonic-looking eyes and the shoulder
i can't point anything out on the eyes though, but the shoulder looks as though it's being dug right into the skin by the white bra
leave a white wpixel between that

guys, can i ask you about something? i would like improve my spriting (it's obviously - as everybody) and my question is about 3 colour of shading. so far i used only 2 colours. so here is my question: how to properly use this "third" colour? when we use 2 colours firstly have to draw sprite by darker colour then shade it by lighter.

where is place for this "third" colour? is it "medium" tone (between darker and lighter) - like this:

or is it this more darker colour - like this:

so, could you explain me order of shading with 3 colours? darker-medium-lighter, or maybe darker-lighter-medium? and probably most important question: if 3 colours are important in making hq sprites?

I suggest you better post as another thread.
Well, when i am using third color.
Darker(3rd color)- to shade places where is darkest, like feet, coat, arm pinch(between arm and upper body.
Lighter(3rd color)-for light parts, like some pattern have those lights, vegeta outfit, armor, hair.
Light source reflected places.

I would say, objects has colors blue,red,green,light blue, etc.
Parts behind the light needs to be dark, because there is not light on it.
Parts directly in front of the light are very lighter because there is a lot of light in it and light is white.

Use logic, don't learn mechanic. also look in tut forum, there are a lot tutorials about shading and way to do it.
