how to program?

Hi there,
I am the newest member in the website
and I want to learn about programming making sprites and mods
Who can tell me what programs I need and how to use it?

If you are talking about Little Fighter 2, it's sprites and mods, they have nothing to do with programming.
I suggest you going to the sprites section to look some tutorials. After you know how to sprite, make your own sprite thread to the sprites section.

1. Read the DC section on the mainsite. It includes most important informations.
2. Download a DataChanger-Tool from the mainsite.
3. Open up modified and classic character/ball files and learn how they work, by looking at the code, the stuff it does and the references on the mainsite.
4. Experiment by messing with same values.
5. Create first basic char, which is a slightly modfied version of another char.
6. Create a new char consisting of a combination of classic and new moves
7. Create awesome chars

No.It is not allowed because peoples with different themes,can't read easily letters which are with the same color with their field.

Example: in green theme,it"s hard to read these green letters.


LF2 edit,has an advantage.You don't need to edit the base program,but just .dat files (usually).These dat files can be opened with a DataChanger program.And it's an easy way to edit them,if we compare it with editing exe file.
To learn how to edit dat files,see tutorial(s) in mainsite and in DC tutorial forum.

While to learn how to do sprites,as Whaat said,go to sprite tutorial forum.

Well, at first you have to know what mods include.
They include:
-DCing
-New/tuned chars
So in short it's the same as making a char, but in mod you have to make many of them.
So it's good start to make a single char, don't rush to mod making.
