Monolith Drawings
#61
mariposa213 was the only one who replied in the whole community, giving you his sincere advice, so take it.

Quote:Hey, it looks like you've got a good start there! I see some nice sketches showing good contrast, and I like the pose in the 7th drawing down.

Might I ask a question—are you intending to study realism? You'll notice that most of the artists who post Sketchbooks are studying from life, and from anatomy books. That way they improve the quickest, and then can go on to draw whatever they like, in whatever style they like (anime, cartoon, or realistic).

You're 14 and that's definitely a perfect age to start studying that too. You can't get much better advice and guidance for that from those on ConceptArt!

What I'd recommend for you is to download the drawing books by Andrew Loomis. He's an old time favorite of many artists here, and it's not difficult to find PDFs of his books, in particular "Figure Drawing for All It's Worth." If you were to start studying and doing sketches from his book, I can see that you'd improve and do amazing things in no time!

On the drawings, try to fill more colors if you know what I mean. Would make it much better.
And on the painting try add details with a smaller brush.
