Cheers guys :)
Also, I feel like I'm not updating this thread often enough... but considering how often I submit something new, it's okay, I guess :p

Speedpaint, an hour-ish:

In case you haven't checked out the Art Contest yet, this one's new. Otherwise, you'll have to see it again :p

And something completely new :D
It's a collab with a guy from dA who's awesomely good at 3D-landscapes (my laptop has gotten so old that I can't stand the powerlagging anymore, so until I can afford some new hardware, I'll probably refrain from taking any new endeavors in the 3d-landscape-area). He modeled the basic landscape and I painted over it :)

Click onto the image will take you to the respective page where you can view it at full-size :)

I have two more WIPs, another collab and a personal piece, which are quite far developed already. If the world doesn't explode, I should be able to put at least one up within this month...

I'm afraid i won't see them, because my eyes JUST EXPLODED!
The stuff you are posting is just awesome and big time at that.
Seriously consider buying newer hardware, even though it is hard to imagine right now, i think you could move one more level up if you would do that.

It'd at least mean that photoshop would stop lagging with every brush-stroke :p
Well, I was planning on buying a computer with the money I make off digital art. Too bad that things don't quite work out as I planned it xD

i have said it once, I'll say it all the time: People don't see true art anymore, many don't even understand the meaning of it.
But i don't really want to trash your thread with this, as I am sure that this would unleash an discussion if i would go any further (next i would probably named a few guys here who are prime examples for that and so forth.. )

to photoshop lagging.. wouldn't more ram already solve that problem?
if i recall correctly win7 has an make-external-ram-out-of-usb-stick-feature-and-i-call-it-so-because-i-can't-remember-the-thingy-anymore-thing
worked wonders with photoshop for my old laptop, might give it a shoot if your desperate.

Well, my laptop-mainboard supports only 2 gigs RAM (which I have already installed). This, together with a single-core 1.7GHz-CPU and a 5400rpm-HD don't really let me do lag-free stuff :p
Hmm, as long as I don't use brushes larger than 90px or so, it works almost instantaneously, as long as I set the process-priority of PS to "Higher than normal".

Anyways, I'll give it a go, we'll see how that works out (although I'm critical, seeing that USB 2.0 is quite limiting in terms of data I/O) :)

seriously dude.. get a new laptop :P
well it did work out quite well for me actually.
i don't suppose normal strokes with the mouse are less lagger? given if you use tablet now with your laptop.

Under Burning Skies looks very realistic. Probably the most realistic 3d picture I have ever seen from you, or from anyone else.
The first one (Nebula) is rather cheesy, lacks something, has too much chaos. But I like your style, so can't say anything bad, really.

Keep up the good work.

By the way, rainbow overview is the way to go! :*

I don't actually know, I've been using my tablet for pretty much everything. And if I don't have a tablet at hand, I use my laptop's track point. Can't really do a whole lot of stuff with that :p
Also, I'd say that, with a pen, you draw the strokes much faster than with a mouse. Does Photoshop actually have the optimization and disabled pressure-sensitivity-check and whatnot when you use a mouse? If not, then it probably doesn't really make a difference....

LET'S MAEK IT A DOUBLE RAINBOW!!!! :D

As for the third, the raw 3d-image got heavily post-worked (most added details are somewhat invisible unless you know where to look for them, though). If I didn't know the amount of time my partner spent on the volcano-render, I'd have almost put it into the paintings-category xD

Also, thanks for your opinion :)
Now, when I look at the first, I can't really say that I like it either. Must've been high while I drew it lol High on endorphines, that is. Endorphines, the drugs for the poor but happy people :p
