The Little Fighter Wiki

I just found a good site where avi files can be converted to gif files online. You can even change the speed, no of frames to show, width of the image and etc. It works perfectly for me.

Look >>here<< for the website.

Hope I am not advertising. If you think this is advertising, go on, delete this.

BTW, I dont know who the hell is the admin of that wiki but please give a spoiler feature there so that gif animations can easily be posted. Or, write in the main page that only the thumbs of the special moves with be posted and to look at the REAL animation, one has to click there.

I am not a DON. and neither is someone elso using my account and nor my account is hacked. Oh, and I didnt switch souls with Vegeta.

I have a bit of a plan for the character pages that I'd like to run by everyone. There shall be a brief Stats table near the top, just detailed enough to let the reader tell if this is a fast character, a high-damaging character, or just a boring average character. I'm operating under the assumption that the level of comprehensivity we're going for means that we want to talk about each individual frame of every attack (including weapon attacks) of the character. That means forward, backward, and upward range (plus thickness if the attack has non-default thickness). A concise way of describing every single frame is via an animation such as this prototype:
(I'll make sure Dennis actually stays put, splice in a standing frame so you know when the start of the animation is, and maybe write the damage inside the boxes.) Thus every attack shall have one of these, except I guess for weapon throwing, for which we can just say how far it gets thrown. Sound good?

P.S. What are the units of the parameters at the top of the .dat files of characters, ilke rowing_distance 5.000000? Surely not pixels per frame :/

EDIT: On second thought, the exact numbers are important too. Instead of an animation, let's have a series of still shots, each with detailed information. Because numbers on their own are hard to interpret, but pictures on their own aren't precise enough.

EDIT: Judging by the activity in the wiki and the lack of activity in this thread, the direction of the wiki is under my control, which is fine by me ^^ Perhaps some day I'll finish enough that people will visit not just to edit.

EDIT: On second thought, screw it. Talking about every single frame is way too much information, too hard to draw conslusions from that.

It's not dead as long as you or I keep editing. I'm not bored yet, though it does seem most others are.

What does your being 12 have to do with having the ability and inclination to create a Wikia account? ô_o̅

Still not bored. It'd be nice to get feedback on Dennis, though, if you have any to give (I'm afraid there might be too many tables!). If no one has anything to say, I'll move on to making the rest of the character pages look like that.

OMG
Awesome XD !! Yeah, there are too many tables. Maybe we should make another page consisting of only tables for Dennis though, because it's difficult to figure out anything by seeing the tables, but it's perhaps the only way to compare stats between different moves, so sometimes people can still be interested in them. We should keep the first table there though.

Dennis' page really contains details that many players may have not known!!! Great XD . That Repeated overlapping Strafe GIF is EPICCCCCC
I really like how you manage the Combos section into lead-ins, continuers and finishers! Maybe 'continuations' is better than 'continuers'?

Zort, the page really becomes awesome XD XD XD . Great job man!

Aw, thanks man.

My thoughts almost exactly. It's just Basic Moves that is drowning in incomprehensible tables. I think I'll move all basic move stats to one page, so you can compare different characters and look up the numbers if you need to, and keep only the damage and warmup on the individual character pages somehow. Or maybe I'll consolidate all twenty tables into one table. Or maybe I'll try to find and copy some videogame site that manages to incorporate mountains of quantitative information with qualitative.

I actually have an idea to make the Combo section into a bunch of tables with columns "damage", "mana", "preconditions", and "breakable". I hesitate mostly for aesthetic concerns.

EDIT: I've gone ahead and consolidated the various Basic Moves tables into three big ones. I think it helps, but I'm not sure if it helps enough. I'll keep thinking about the other two options.
EDIT: Combined some columns, like they do here (well, there they have 17 columns worth of information, not 9 to 11). Compare the current revision to the previous.

It kinda seems like Marti and Starsky noticed that exploit, and tried to adjust various things (like how much Dennis slides forward, the time it takes for one's fall points to decrease from 60 to 40 (explained here)) to make it impossible, cause I've thought of four ways to do it, and only one (?) works, just barely.

EDIT June 3: Despite what my lapse in activity on the wiki might suggest, I still haven't lost interest. It's just that right now I'm doing some programming, which doesn't require me to make any edits, and I got a job.
I really would like as much feedback as possible, because right now I'm getting almost none. Probably the more I'm reassured that someone's watching and will actually read the end product, the more motivated I'll be.
