great - just making the question harder
well then, since there is nothing right on the tip of my tongue for this i will have to sort myself first
original characters that are up for it:
- Clide by Trickety
in my book this one isn't fully done yet as i am still working on refining him myself (very very close to being done, will soon give it to trickety for review so i can tweak a few more things depending on what he says)
so right now he doesn't get the spot
- Harelquin by Sheldee (and 13thzone)
f*** this one has potential and i should finally get back to work on some of the moves we have thought up for him
right now this is only a really pretty template character (no special moves, just awesome basic ones)
so he cannot get the spot either yet
- Lighto by Lighto
this one still feels undone as the only special move he's got is a few ice blasts
(needs at least two more moves and maybe switch from ice to lightning only)
otherwise he could surely take the spot for he is simply classy (but at least he's already playable)
- Frozen by Siegvar
wow
quite difficult to play with imo - and the sprites are over top when standing next to lf2 ones (that's actually a little negative for me)
love the ice decoys - if i trained a little more to master his gameplay he could be my fav
- Maveric by Matt (and me)
it's always a bit awkward to have your own creation as your absolute favorite, but then again these awesome sprites aren't my work
and we have just spend too much time on this to not be my top choice
nothing lives up to it yet
and to tell you the truth i've actually dabbled a little around and created an overdrive version (adding in a few alf2 like features and enabling the energy charged moves without perfectly blocking an attack - at a cost of course)
if i go over that version again i might put it up as a limited download sometime :p
conclusion: Maveric, but there are 4 others very close to him

I am sure a power demonstration without or at least less civilian deaths could have had the same effect.
You know it would've been very simple to just target a ship instead of two cities.
Then again just like bamboori i have to admit i may not be well informed to get into a proper discussion about it.
Not to mention i don't think it is a good idea to blow of an atomic bomb inside the biosphere of any planet, for whatever reason ...
And for all i know the scientists responsible for making this possible had the same opinion.

yes
the question is a bit vague, what do you want to hear other than that?
