Direct interpretation fails there. Like for a character or something :P ... maybe? Cant it be?...Or even something else, and you are fooling yourself by directly interpreting.

Usually, I don't really care because, hey, it's popcorn
If I have to choose between those two, I'll probably go with the sugary version, though. For whatever reason, anything that is salty has to have some sort of crunch for me to be good (that includes chips, (overdone) fries, and crackers).

Continuing the speculation as to the intent of this thread...: what strikes me about it is how eager we are to divulge our opinions on such an inane topic. One might be justified in considering us rather... self-centered.
Then again I'm not that into popcorn, so maybe this is not all so inane to YinYin as it is to me.

So apparently, talking about food is spammy whereas talking about fictional characters from random animes is not? You have an interesting order of priorities...
edit: was obviously referring to Kashif's post. Now this one here looks terribly out of place. Whatever.

I don't really like popcorn, but when it's the only thing that there is to eat, then I prefer salty... :-/
... Which reminds me that the last time I ate popcorn was sometime in 2008...
The truth... is inescapable. The truth will always come out eventually, no matter what. And once the chains that bind the truth are severed... nothing can stop the truth from coming to light.
i wanted to know this because during the past years i have noticed a high contrast in popcorn taste between berlin and the surrounding area
where most people i know from berlin prefer salty popcorn and most from around prefer sweet the most extreme cases didnt even seem to know about salty popcorn and think its disgusting (?) to answer the question myself: i dont care that much - means i do eat sweet popcorn too - but i prefer it salty most of all because its a crunchy snack and i prefer crunchy things salty - just like bp if popcorn isnt crunchy anymore ... ew (i often get the impression that sweet glossy coating does in fact make it less crunchy - it sometimes seems to absorb it and it gets all sticky and non crunchy ...) little explanation as to why i have only given two options: i consider anything savory like cheese to be leaning closer to the salty side and everything like sugar/honey/caramel is obviously sweet (and i have yet to see crazy flavored popcorn that is sour or spicy - so i dont have any experience with these and really dont care about these options, but i would certainly try them if its not too expensive ... eh it probably will be so i just have to make it myself sometime) @Azriel: aren't you in auckland? i cannot remember cinemas only having salted popcorn there ...
