Running LF2 on an Ultrabook
#1
can lf2 be played on lenovo ultrabook i5 processor?
Graphics card: Nvidia gtx 650
Operating Sys: Windows 7

all it's showing is a black screen.

Just fyi, i don't own an ultrabook
It's my friend's laptop, who is mildly interested in playing lf2.
what can i do to help him?

i've got an nvidia geforce gt 650m and lf2 works here. i can't find a (i think it's silva's) post about the visual c++ fix (isn't it on the website as well?) gotta go now but i'll update this post when i get back if i find it.

for running lf2.. any os will do, if you know how to.
(ai scripting is the only thing which does not work YET, everything else does)

ontopic: it should work. Lf2 doesn't need much power.

They are talking about this fix: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/...px?id=3387
If he uses windows, then he should have it.

ya but anyone clever enough to use a diff os will be clever enough to include that in their post when they are having problems with a program made for a specific os (and probably smart enough to solve the problem themselves)

i think i had to install it myself on my previous laptop (windows 7 installation as well), so i would say it doesn't always ship with it

@Luti: is it a blackscreen but he still hears the music of lf2?
it might be that some maximized windows are interfering ( it does for me sometimes) which are in the background, close those, or minimize them, or just not have them in full screen-mode running.

if that does not resolve the issue, you could try to relaunch the desktop window manager service as described here:

(suggestion by zort via irc some time ago, in my case it didn't fix the problem, but it might fix yours)

I am not sure about it but it may be a graphic card driver issue.

Here i found the win7 64bit driver of your graphic card: http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/62791
I hope it helps.
