actualy for some people like me, there is much more fun to spend more time on your product than spending just a little.

Unless one spends so much time on it that it'll never become finished. Which is not the point of the Flash Template. Its sole purpose is to get a character DONE.

Its a good method for making sprites but I have a question, how many people IN HERE is using this method NOW for making characters and other related stuff, except Gad.

I've been messing with it since yesterday. xmfcx converted the CS5-Template into CS3 (mad thank you again!), thus allowing me to play with it. Can be downloaded here: http://lf-empire.de/downloads/other/flas...27_CS3.fla
Since the spritesheet-generation doesn't work well for versions below cs5(?), there is another useful tool to work with: http://lf-empire.de/downloads/other/flas...ESHEET.swf

Instructions (Click to View)

• Export your flash-project as an swf (shortcut: Ctrl+Enter).
  
• open the swf with the "swf to spritesheet"-app
  
• adjusting the width and height allows you to control the white borders added inbetween. Alternatively, you can fill them with black later when editing them in your favorite graphics program.

On a related note, would it be okay with you if I added the Template to LFE? (as in: official, not only available via a link but with its respective page etc)

Those that want to do more than a single sprite or a tiny animation and rather create a bunch of characters will probably disagree. Or pretty much anybody that's willing to create at least a single char.

The main advantage of using Flash is not drawing less parts, but to position them automaticly and then just ADDJUST.

i originally wanted to say that he took 3 hours to make those parts, and used 30 minutes to create a whole sprite sheet.
but i paused for about 0.1 second, and thought no way Gad will need that much time for that. he only needed 3 seconds!
so maybe he means he created the whole thing in 3 hours? but this whole argument about 30mins and 3hrs are useless.
the only thing im sure, is this whole thing is so freaking legendarily full of epic awesomeness, that he should receive a nobel for this.

gad made all the parts in 30 min
than putting the right parts in every frame took him 2 hours
and when u use the generator u dont need to place the parts on each frame
only to re-draw them cuz gad already placed them

its like when u write a letter or something it may take an hour to write it
but for the reader he can read it in few minutes
