Well the most interesting that someone is doing is Jeremy, he is doing all sort of things. Anyway for the other two individuals to learn to read will be 2d6 = 6 (Henry strugles to learn) 2d6 = 8 + 1 (Fiz is able to teach Henry better than John). Will take 6 weeks to learn. The other rolls 2d6 = 11 (Amadis is able to learn very well) 2d6 = 8 + 1 (Fiz is able to teach Henry better than John). Will take 4 weeks to learn to read. Also tell me who rotates each day to guard and to learn from Fiz since he can only teach one person at a time.
EDIT: For now I assume that John is learning first.
The first day goes by fine nothing special happens.
As you explore the train you do not find anything interesting, few people talk but no one really seems to feel like talking to you, you look to scary for some of the travelers. You are able to talk to some guards they share stories how the join and of their past adventure nothing to special. Some ask about Liana, but you just scrub them off, trying to keep her for yourself. Once it gets dark you get back and to your room and see that Liana is praying, you try to talk to her and stuff but she whacks you with her stick and tells you to be quite so you just drift to sleep.
You start your reading lesson with Fiz, and it goes by okay, while you are able to understand somethings, Fiz has a hard time for the most time explaining it to you, so you only get few things by. This took up most of the day and you weren't really able to do much more.
For the morning you were mostly free, everyone awake so no one had to really guard the Duke, plus he is with his adviser. You pray to your guard and once meal were served you examined the kitchen and nothing seems suspicious and you purified Duke's food. You took the rest of the day sleeping to make sure you could stay awake during the night. You chatted with the guard but he wasn't up for much talking and was mostly tired. You were able to hear on the Duke and his adviser talking what seems some big plans, you weren't sure exactly.
You got some books from the Duke's adviser which you found is actually a mage just like you, but much more powerful and trained. He gives you a simple book and the history of Milan. You try to explain letters and how to combine them to read. John seemed to understand what you were saying but half the time you were saying things that made him more confused. This took up most of the day and you weren't able to do much more.
You chatted with the guards which had few interesting stories to tell, you also talked with Jeremy about past events, though nothing to specific. You examine the rooms of the cart you are in but you find nothing suspicious about them.
You eat your meals and get backed in your rooms. The food was well prepared and enjoyable. You saw the Duke only few times and the times you saw he was always with his adviser which you have seen for the first time.
First day is over. If you want to try to do something different or talk to someone just let me know. For talking to an NPC you have to talk to me real time, so no PMing because talking like that will take for ever, just send a PM, hey I would like to talk to an NPC or something like that.
