After everyone gathers up you count the casualties, which are 5 people. After talking to the DeFusco and his advisor you guys find that you cannot really survive staying here at all, and the closest thing is 1 day of walking. You are also taking all the passengers with you since the duke feels it his fault that this happened while the adviser suggest not to take them or they might all likely to die on the walk since they do not have enough provision to take with them. There is also not enough horses for every body. After that you wake up and its bright and morning, also sleep was hard so everybody only heals one point of damage, and Amadis and Henry still barely walk. What do you do before you depart.

How many passengers are there left? I know a lot of you won't like this idea but-
maybe we can murder them and save their meat on our way to the next town.
Hey, it's not like they'll survive out here in the middle of nowhere for very long.
If you guys don't like it well then last resort... we take out the horses if we're desperate.

I will look around more provisions and other junk around the train wreckage.

The only cart that was damaged was yours, and the two nearby, all the horses are fine, the amount of people is 50, roughly. If you guys want to kill all of the passengers it will be hard because no one will allow that especially if you plan to eat them.

If so, i'd like to carry them in bags, large enough to fit a person in each one
and then store the bodies in wagon-like-carts that our horses can carry
If there is any salt available lets distribute the grains inside the body bags and get a move on already

to answer your question:
If asked about what we're doing we'll say we'll carry them to the next town over to a church for proper burial.
but what they probably don't know is - if we are down to the last of our rations - as a last resort, the preserved bodies will keep us fed for awhile (hopefully they won't spoil or anything)

to clarify:
+find salt and any other resources nearby
+build a wagon from the wreckage to carry our stuff (including the dead bodies) carry them on horseback
+leave the train crash and follow the tracks leading to our destination.

not really necessary, as we can each carry one of them with us on our horse(should be enough horses), and building a wagon is really time wasting.
unless one is already available, i suggest we give up the wagon idea.

Great, I won't argue with that, it's a good idea. However, let's not throw away the wagon idea just yet.

Edit 1: In fact, I have another idea.
Instead of a wagon, Lets use the existing train cart and carry all of our stuff
we'll use our horses to move the cart on the train tracks.
This plan would require rope and the horses strength

The average weight of an empty freight car is about 10 tons (~20,000 lb)
a horse can carry up to 4 times it's body weight
which depending on the type of horse is somewhere between 1,100 to 1,300 lb ==(1,200 x 4)==> thus carrying 4,400 - 5,200 lb for each horse! (~4,800 lb)
And we have 5 ====== so ======> 22,000 - 26,000 lb (~24,000 lb)
Not to mention the 10 of us adds an extra weight of 2,000 lb (assuming we'll distribute an average of 160 lbs worth of weight + 40 lb of luggage and equipment per person)

The Cart (~22,000 lb) vs The Horses Combined Strength (~24,000 lb)

It may seem like a bit too much... but it'll be easier since the cart has wheels!
We can also even get rid of the additional weight like the walls and the roof of the cart.
Compared to what horses can pull in dead-weight, the whole scenario would be like us carting around a child in a wagon.
