How to create character?

Hello guyz, can anyone help me, my question is too easy.
I don't have a good idea about data changing. I wanna create a character that disappears itself after spawning..

Disappear or delete?
If you meant delete its pretty easy.

First to begin coding a character use the template.dat, open it and make the first frame (frame 0 standing) 'wait' value 0 and 'next' value 1000.
Its done.

to study others lf2 mods characters.

Thanks guyz! I wanted the background. Coz, can't find them in the folders (I really don't wanted to stick those parts in Photoshop, Paint.NET etc. bla bla bla)
