Talk to someone. Immediately.
If you don't want to talk to your parents or close relatives, seek professional help. If you are in college... many universities offer some sort of psychosocial counseling. The people there are trained to deal with such cases.
Either way, don't try to chase after girls in the hope they will pull you out of this void. This will not work, I speak from experience. Get your life sorted first, then deal with the rest. The fact that it's November makes me think that your gloominess is partially related to seasons. I don't know how old you are but, as cheesy as this sounds, you will learn to get over it. Maybe not this year, maybe not the next year, maybe not within the next decade. It will, however, get better eventually, even if that simply means that you learn to live with your inner demons.
Don't give a damn about how successful others are, always look after yourself first. If you don't feel like pursuing your hobbies, fine, just do something else. Take a walk outside, call a friend, whatever. The only thing to keep in mind is to stay occupied. Boredom is dangerous, so no matter how mediocre it is, always do something. Give yourself a positive mindset. Lie to yourself. Eventually, you will actually adapt that mindset.
Also, interact with other people. This might sound weird, but it's amazing how much talking to people you have never seen before helps.
But seriously, if everything else fails, seek medical attention.

You're just dying if you're living and thinking about a betrayal, revive yourself.
Think about that one person that has trusted you forever, not the thousand people that have betrayed you.

This feeling, sounds so familiar to me. I experienced the same kind of feeling sometime ago. This is nothing but you concentrating on others and not on yourself. This mostly happens when you feel lonely. The better way to get rid of is by spending time usefully. You'll only become more and more sad and hurt yourself mentally if you are idle. Trust me, go do some physical exercise, interact with people. This might be due to your desire to achieve something but not knowing where to begin. Set a goal based on your research. Hope this is of some help.

Me-N-Mine and Blue Phoenix both gave great advice. Depression usually results of loneliness + idleness. You'd be surprised about how many people around you actually feel this way, if not worse. Fake smiles are a thing. And I have to disagree with BP about lying to yourself, the truth always surfaces sooner or later. Don't run away from it, face it head-on. Learn to accept it and deal with it. It will make you stronger. The world isn't perfect, there is a lot of bad in it. But there is also good, and it is beautiful, that is what we should fight to protect. Telling people to "pull your sh*t together" doesn't work unfortunately, otherwise doctors wouldn't be necessary. But you might be able to overcome it by yourself, and that would be great.
I like Tales from Earthsea.

woaah, hold on.. this is not something you can solve in 6 hours. You probably had some good time with friends and you don't feel it anymore so you think everything is great again, but believe me, it will strike again, ..and again. Prepare yourself.
All of us deal with same sh*t, stay strong.

I haven't read all the previous posts on this topic but here's my two second advice: if you ever feel really bad about life in general at times, you REALLY have to just keep yourself busy - even if with just petty little things, whatever that keeps your mind off the situation you're currently in. Exercise, hobby, learn something new

This is truth. When you feel like this, your thoughts fluctuate (keep changing) a lot between good and bad. You have to try and keep yourself thinking "I'm okay".
Whenever you feel like giving up, remember "these times will pass". No matter how bad, it will go away some time.
Here's a tip, go run, do some push ups, go to a playground and do some pull-ups. It takes your mind away from the bad thoughts, and if you do it enough (spend an hour every 2~3 days), you eventually become physically strong, and that can make you feel mentally strong.

Damn, mate. I'm totally new to this site, but It seems you're facing a problem which I face on a daily basis too. Well, depression is really common for me, it's in my genes to be honest, but I get over it after some time. I know how it feels.
