Default avatar
#1
:mad:
Suggestion is simple. The current default avatar looks hideous. Bad. Bad. BAD!

* MangaD cringes

So please change it to a better one LF2 related, like 13th zone has. OK

What about just not displaying an avatar for someone who has not selected one?
Seems like the cleanest solution to me.
Age ratings for movies and games (and similar) have never been a good idea.

I may suggest this one:

It is 120x120. Removed the black background to adapt better to the theme! :thumbsup:

Not really a default if it is not on by default, so it kinda makes it pointless.
Also having five options is a stupidly huge amount of options which is more likely to simply confuse new users, and no one who has been here for a while will use the default avatar anyway, so the options are really just irrelevant.

It is not too bad.
The problem I have with having a default avatar is that avatars are useful for identifying users at a glance, but with a default 120x120 all it does is take up space.

Well, having no avatar at all makes it seem that one can't use an avatar at all (probably because they need to reach a number of posts or something of that sort). I've been into this kind of forums before, where pretty much everything (including PM) is initially locked and is unlocked as you post more.

My objection would be with having that be Template. Template is a cool character which only pro-players would use to trounce you while you're playing as Julian. What about the Random selector?
