sirfrog, could you try lighting the tree trunk? I'd like to avoid burning the whole forest and I don't think we have time to craft torches.
and under no circumstances should we split up.
if lightning the tree won't work I'd say we go into the cave. even if there's something inside we couldn't get surrounded as much as in the open field (except if we have a steady fire at our back).

I wouldn't want to go in yet another cave as it distracts us from our main objective.

To clarify, that "mini-cave" is not a real cave which has tunnels somewhere below the surface etc., it is just the little shelter provided by the overhang. Of course, you can't see how deep it really is but it's not a cave in the classical sense.

As long as I can put something on fire to scare the wolves. Burning a log might work. Though we should get a wood axe so we can make firewood. Not really for making torches, though, just firewood for a bonfire.

but why would we need a bonfire early in the morning? just kill these wolves and continue with the quest :D
axe sounds good nevertheless. but maybe when we reach the town and it's not too expensive.

oh damn you're right xD I somehow imagined it being dark.

so I guess ill try to craft some arrows instead until t wolves arrive.
