We're all going to the mini-cave, as BP, Bamboori, SirFrog, Simon & I have agreed. Bamboori will also be crafting arrows.
I don't think we're lighting anything on fire at this point since its 9.31AM in the morning which means the sun is already up.

lets see if we can also collect some firewood on the way, just in case. drahcir and steiner should be able to carry a little.
oh and we should mark or remember the direction we need to go, in case we need to stay a little longer.

Sorry , ninja'd! But the group wasn't in the position to stop for firewood anyway, what with the possibly approaching wolves. |

Blue Phoenix: Quick, let's hide beneath that overhang there!
The group hurries over to the rock, descending into the little cove beneath it. It's pretty small, there's barely enough room to fit ten people in. They cower in the corner, waiting for something to happen. In the meantime, Bamboori uses some of the wood from the group's inventory to craft a few arrows. [-2 Wood, +10 Arrows]
The howling decreases slowly until the soundscape finally returns to that of a normal forest.
Bamboori: I'm going to go check out the surroundings.
Bamboori steps out of the cove, climbs up the incline and looks around. Nothing unusual can be seen and he gives his friends a wink to follow him.
SirFrog: I wonder what happened.
Bamboori: Maybe they weren't necessarily out to kill us, just to communicate to each other about our presence.
snorsorbet: The howling did get a little closer. I had the feeling they were approaching us.
Bamboori: Sometimes, specific forests may feint some of our senses, in this case the wolves' apparent approach being just an illusion.
Nave: First of all, how is that possible, and second of all, why would you know so much about forests?
Bamboori: I... don't know. I feel at home in these kinds of environments.
Ian: Perhaps you are a child of the forest, then.
Bamboori: What do you mean by that?
Ian: Later. Let's get out of here first.
After slowly returning to their previous location where they first heard the wolves, Simon holds the others back.
Simon: A lone wolf is sitting on the glade's large tree trunk. It almost looks like he's... watching us.

Well, shall we kill the wolf for XP, or shall we just keep an eye on it(no staring) while passing through?
I'm assuming the wolf isn't in our way to Glennsvile.

just continue walking and ignore the wolf?
attacking him may cause some more trouble if the remaining wolves notice what's happening

If it doesn't bother us, we won't bother it. It's probably got friends close by.
That said, should it start being hostile, it'll soon find out that arrows are unhealthy when approaching you at high speeds.

The group decides to let the wolf be and continue on their way, keeping their guard up for a possible surprise attack. As they continue their original path approximately southwards, snorsorbet finds himself turning his head around regularly.
snorsorbet: He's following us, at a safe distance.
SirFrog: Keep an eye on him. If he doesn't hurt us, we don't hurt him.
The group keeps walking, and not much later they spot another wolf a little sideways of their path. As they attempt to walk by, the wolf retreats to their back. Now two wolves are following the group.
snorsorbet: Spooky. Think they might have a greater plan?
Bamboori: Don't be afraid. They can literally taste the fear in the human mind.
SirFrog: Figuratively, Bamboori.
Bamboori: We don't know that. Wild animals have not been thoroughly studied, you know?
They come across more and more wolves who all end up following the group at a few dozen steps' distance. Eventually, the wood become less thick and the end of the forest is in sight. As they finally leave the last of its tree behind, they notice the group of wolves - in the meantime grown up to at least 15 individuals - sitting down at the edge of the forest, still watching them. A quiet howl is heard in the distance.
snorsorbet: I find this creepier than if they had attacked us. What is up with them?
Bamboori: Maybe you should be glad they chose for us to live another day.
[The group gains +2 Alignment Points.]
After countless more minutes of wandering through plain, grassy fields without any special encounters, they decide to sit down and have a rest. A conversation topic isn't found quickly, but eventually, someone breaks the silence.

Drahcir: I think those wolves were only protecting their territory, and sensing our greater strength, did not risk attacking us if not necessary.
Bamboori: Maybe. But perhaps they were... expecting something from us.
Drahcir: And what should that be?
Bamboori: I don't know. I just... it feels like I should know.
